EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

The Cal Poly Computer Engineering Program has established five educational
objectives, to describe the attributes of alumni 3-5 years following graduation:

I. Graduates with a complete theoretical background in the fundamentals
underlying computer engineering.

II. Graduates that demonstrate technical knowledge and experience required for
the practice of computer engineering.

III. Graduates with experimental, testing, and research skills, based upon
hands-on experience.

IV. Graduates with good communications skills, commitment to ethical standards
of practice, and an understanding of the need for life-long learning.

V. Graduates demonstrating a well-rounded understanding of social,
interpersonal, artistic, and world issues, and the relationship between these
and the practice of computer engineering.
